Southampton Community Band

Welcome to the Southampton Community Band

Southampton Community Band mission is to provide musical enjoyment, educational opportunities, and participation in a concert band setting available to all interested musicians and music lovers. To enrich the cultural environment, foster an appreciative knowledge of legitimate band literature, and encourage the development of musicians, regardless of age, gender, race, or ethnicity, through concerts and mentoring (side-by-side rehearsals). To promote a spirit of neighborhood involvement that will ensure a lasting fine arts legacy. We perform four concerts per year. If you purchase an annual subscription, you can see each concert without buying additional tickets at the door. We

  • are a volunteer organization
  • hold no auditions to join the band
  • have varying degrees of playing experience
  • hold weekly rehearsals from September through May
  • perform four subscription concerts per season
  • perform one outside concert in July during Southampton Days
  • have many members play in more than one musical group
